Michael,
Since the LZ4 change requires a kernel update (and therefore a
reboot), and is not a critical security fix, it won't appear in stable
until the next major release, which will be sometime in April.  Please
see http://omnios.omniti.com/wiki.php/StableVsBloody for details on
the differences between stable and bloody.  If you want to try out LZ4
you can install from the currently-available media and then do a pkg
update to the latest bits.
