[OmniOS-discuss] FTP server leaving illumos. Replacement suggestions?

If you follow Illumos bug 5069 (https://illumos.org/issues/5069), you'll see that the FTP server (based on wuftpd) is being removed from illumos-gate, and subsequently, illumos-omnios.

I'd like to put a replacement FTP server into omnios-build, so it can still be there.  I can stick with the identical version that's being ripped out, but I'd rather, if possible, put something newer in its place.  We may lose some of the PAM and other integration features, unless that's a show-stopper for anyone (esp. paying customers) out here.

If you have suggestions, please let me know.  I'm leaning toward being lazy for now and just moving the source to be ripped out into something consumable by omnios-build.  I can be convinced otherwise without much effort, though.

I'd appreciate it if you speak up on this thread with your suggestions.
