Are you sharing using zfs(1M) sharing properties?  (zfs set sharenfs=on <filesystem>)

You need to make sure you set the uidmap property when you share your filesystem.  I believe, you want this:

	zfs set sharenfs='uidmap=2000:media' <filesystem>

Try that out for size.
