Hi all,
We recently set up an OmniOS file server to serve our SMB clients. The
server paniced over the weekend. I was hoping someone here would help us
interpret the panic info and possibly point us towards a resolution. The
stack dump is:
panicstr = BAD TRAP: type=e (#pf Page fault)
rp=ffffff007c6e78a0 addr=18 occurred in module "nsmb" due to a NULL pointer
dereference
panicstack = unix:die+df () | unix:trap+db3 () |
unix:cmntrap+e6 () | nsmb:nbssn_peekhdr+75 () | nsmb:nbssn_recv+7f () |
nsmb:smb_nbst_recv+a1 () | nsmb:smb_iod_recv1+46 () |
nsmb:smb_iod_recvall+65 () | nsmb:smb_iod_vc_work+c6 () |
nsmb:smb_usr_iod_work+15c () | nsmb:nsmb_ioctl+d9 () |
genunix:cdev_ioctl+39 () | specfs:spec_ioctl+60 () | genunix:fop_ioctl+55
() | genunix:ioctl+9b () | unix:brand_sys_sysenter+1c9 () |
I can provide the full crash dump if it will help... once it comes back up.
Looks like it crashed again while I was writing this.
Thanks,
Aaron
