Considering the nature of the error message, you will have to start with the drive. The drive, at least, can send telemetry. A physical port cannot. Make sure your cables are seated correctly and so on. The AHCI driver sent a command to power on the drive and initialize it, and it did not receive the expected response.
Drives (enterprise-grade or not) will fail very young (due to manufacturing defect) and, if they survive their first months in operation, they can go for years before failing. You might have a drive that fell out of the crib, or just a bad cable/connector. Sometimes these things take some hands-on detective work.
