The Xeon-D version at
https://www.supermicro.com/products/system/midtower/5028/SYS-5028D-TN4T.cfm
has a lot more capability than the Atom-based model.
If you are willing to have one boot drive, then you could use the M.2
slot to add a M.2-based SSD for excellent performance and retaining
four drive slots for server disks.
It also says that it has 2x 2.5" internal drive bays so you could have
SATA 6 drives in all, plus the M.2-based SSD.
