I've seen that message ("unsupported mixed cpu monitor/mwait support
detected") in another thread recently.  In that case, I believe the
solution was to reset the BIOS to an "optimised performance" factory
defaults set.

Can you try various default BIOS settings that to see if that allows
the system to boot?
