[OmniOS-discuss] Plex on LX zone howto

It's been years since I played with zones (Solaris 10 Sparc ~build 187) so I've forgotten everything I learned.

I'd like to set up a Plex media server in an LX zone on Omnios 151020 .  Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the right sequence of steps to create the LX zone and linux kernel in preparation for installing Plex.  I'm not even sure which Linux kernel would be the least problematic (I chose debian 8).

Should I wait for 151022 (assuming it won't be too far off)?

What are the steps to bring up an LX zone from scratch (i.e. create a VNIC...) and the associated commands (or pointers to documentation)  Thank goodness for BEs as I went through this unsuccessfully a few times but could easily rollback whatever I messed up.
