[OmniOS-discuss] sendmail+SASL

Anyone have success configuring sendmail+libsasl under OmniOS?

$ /etc/sasl/Sendmail.conf 
pwcheck_method: shadow
log_level: 7

I'm getting no further than Andrew Watkins:

illumos SASL doesn't provide a lot of debugging, so I'd
like to trace libsasl and sendmail via printf.

What build.sh invocation or minimum environment is required just
to rebuild a couple packages once I git omnios-build?

I do not want to build all of OmniOS and illumos and I want
to link against my installed libraries vice Bloody.
