Ironically, IMHO the choice of installers is the least of our problems here :)

I mean, IMHO this only(?) plays a role during distro-construction, so it is a matter of one or another tweak in a recipe - of which we can have several for different media sets - with same repo (fruit of same shared effort) used for os/net (variants?) and for other application packages.

Perhaps in the end we can just improve to common taste and keep one installer. But are not bound to do so.
