[OmniOS-discuss] r151020 installer issues

Not using hardware RAID mode. It is using the on board SAS controller but I’m running in jbod or passthrough mode. Whatever its called on here. 

I just sent a list of errors that I’ve hit so far to the list replying to Dan McDonald.

If you guys really want me to I’ll rerun the installer one more time and get actual screenshots from the ilom.

    You should under normal circumstances be able to install using the 020 media as you are attempting to do.

    Under normal circumstances, the "best practice" is boot the install image, and use the installer. It would be really helpful to know what these errors you're seeing consist of. X4170s are old Intel Westemere-based systems; OmniOS should have no problems running on these. Are you using the on-board SAS controller in a hardware RAID mode?
