[OmniOS-discuss] Release 12 KVM poor network performance

Experience slow network performance after upgrading.
Copying from another windows system (physical machine) it drops form the 85MB/s on R10 to between 9 and 14MB/s. Two systems experience the exact same symptom. Both make use of igb driver. 
Copy tests are done between windows 8.1 and Windows 2012R2 VM.
Changing to virtio for nic has no impact other than causing kvm to crash after copying ~400MB. 
 
Any ideas?
