Without source you'll be out of luck.

The Generic Lan Driver (GLDv3) interface is *slightly* different on recent-vintage illumos.  A modern OI (like hipster) would likely exhibit the same problems.  If you want Solarflare cards, you'll need to get them to cough up the source.
