You are confusing a product model with the controller chip it
contains.  The LSI 3041 HBA uses the SAS1064E controller chip.  I have
a stock LSI-branded version of this card.  It is printed with "LSI
3041E-R" but the controller chip itself is "SAS1064E".

The download link that Michael posted earlier in this thread shows
"SAS3041ER_ Package_P21_IR_IT_Firmware_BIOS_for_MSDOS_Windows" which
should contain both the IR and IT firmware images.  The "SASFlash
Quick Reference Guide" also on that page should have the instructions,
if they are not included with the firmware.  This all assumes that
your HP-branded card is identical hardware to a stock LSI-branded
part, and simply has custom firmware on it, which should be able to be
replaced with the stock firmware.  None of us know if that is actually
the case, though, so the best we can say is "try it and find out".
